BOSTON, Mass. – Northeastern University Athletics has launched GoNU.TV, a new website that
will feature live web video of many home athletic events and other video content such as highlights,
interviews and archives. GoNU.TV will
run in conjunction with GoNU.com, which will continue to provide the most extensive coverage
of Northeastern sports.
Last year, Northeastern began producing live video webcasts of Northeastern football,
hockey and basketball games through GoNU.com. Huskies fans were able to
watch games live from anywhere in the world. The response was so positive
that Northeastern has decided to partner with Pack Network to launch
GoNU.TV, which will be dedicated solely to live and archived web video features.
"There was great interest in our preliminary efforts to offer
video l
ast season and we recognize that it is a great way for our fans,
parents and alumni to follow Northeastern Athletics while supporting our
programs," said Athletics Director Peter Roby. "Through the efforts of our
Athletics Department and Pack Network, we will be able to provide a
first-class web experience for our fans."
In addition to airing live web video of Northeastern football, men's and
women's hockey and men's and women's basketball games, GoNU.TV also will
feature many volleyball, men's and women's soccer and other home sporting
events. GoNU.TV will carry special events, such as press conferences,
whenever possible. GoNU.TV also will have archived video of past events, interviews and highlights.
Fans can purchase the "Huskies All-Access Pass" which is an annual
subscription regularly priced at $59.95. Right now, as an introductory special that will run through
September, the All-Access Pass is
on sale for $49.95. The All-Access Pass will give subscribers access to all the live and archived video
offerings of GoNU.TV. Fans can also purchase home events on a per-game basis for
$4.95.
The first live webcast on GoNU.TV is set for Friday when the volleyball team hosts Sacred Heart at
Solomon Court at 11 a.m.
